Dammit. When I read Dogtooth my brain automatically processed it as Dogville and I immediately got excited. I was disappointed when I came to my senses.
Anyway, Dogtooth is an excellent film, but I'm happy with the previous release. |

I have the UK release because it was much cheaper than the first Kino release. Think I'll get this one. Cover looks nice. New extras.
I wonder if this could look better though. The existing transfer looks kinda dated for a movie that's only 10 years old. |

I talked to Amazon customer service and confirmed that the UPC for the 19.99 blu-ray listing matches the DVD UPC on Kino's website. I told them about the error, and they assured me I'll be getting a blu-ray in the mail, which I severely doubt lol but if I don't I'll just hit them up and say "hey send me a blu-ray"
We'll see if they decide to fix the listing before then or if they're gonna get a ton of people mad about finding a DVD in their mailbox when the item they ordered was described as a blu. I tried to help!! |

As expected, a DVD came in the mail, so talking to customer service now. How fun
EDIT: For anyone else in the same boat as me, here's what happened: They offered replacing the item so I said okay, then when I checked the replacement order it linked to the same incorrect product. So I contacted customer service again, explained the situation for a third time, and they confirmed the replacement was going to be the DVD again. They said they could not issue a replacement for a different item, so they said they could offer a return/refund, and then issued me a $10 promo credit for the inconvenience. So once the refund hits I'll order the correct one Maybe after all this they will finally change the listing to the correct thing, which is what I suggested to all 3 people I spoke to, but who knows Last edited by eightslicesofpie; 09-03-2019 at 02:52 PM. |

If anyone else has this issue, I suggest contacting amazon and being persistent about them resolving it. Took me speaking with 4 people to get them to approve a refund before receiving the returned item. Took Kenes approximately 5 minutes and I had my full refund and the correct item ordered, atleast I hope this one will be correct... bought the more expensive of the 2 "blu-ray" options this time.
"Me: I require an instant refund on an item that was received today not as described. You are now connected to Kenes from Amazon.com Kenes: Hello, my name is Kenes. I'm here to help you today. Me: Order# 000000000000000 Kenes: Thanks for the order ID I've checked the available options for the item Johnny. I'm sorry we don't have an instant refund for this item. If you wish I can create a replacement for the item or return label. You can return the item back for a refund. Me: Yeah, that's what the last person said. Which is of course totally unsatisfactory since it was Amazon's fault that their item description is incorrect and I got the wrong product because of that. Kenes: I can understand your situation Johnny, Let me check with my lead for alternate options. Could you please allow me a moment so that I can help you with this really quick? Me: Yes, I'm also able to point to other customers that have had this issue with the same product. Kenes: Thanks for waiting Johnny. Yeah my refund never issued, so I had to contact them a third time and ask for an instant refund, which they granted; then I went to order the correct product but the $10 credit they promised wasn't there, so I had to contact them a fourth time and now it's finally all working and I'm shipping the DVD back tomorrow lol
What a headache |
