Ugh that's really frustrating.

I guess it really is a crap shoot, that's worked for me before! Mind you, I haven't tried it in a few years!

Doesn't Amazon usually refund the difference automatically, if it drops in price just after releasing ?

They've done it numerous times in the past, where a few days later, I get an email refunding me the difference without having to contact them. This happens a lot with the Marvel movies, which always seem to drop to £18 the day after they come out.

One time I did contact them and I still got the refund even after their customer service told me they couldn't do anything about it.

If you pre-ordered, yes. But it wasn't released only yesterday and I for one ordered it only yesterday.

'Never have an issue with a preorder -- usually I get those refunds almost immediately after Midnight strikes at the end of release day.

I actually got to Live Chat right after my last post -- at the end of the Auto-chat I didn't realize there was an option to get to the live Chat. Got shut down totally with even a minimal apology, much less a GC even after I mentioned again I was international. I wondered if teh phone option might work better.

This policy is basically why my AmazonUS media purchases pretty much went from 50-60% of my not insignificant total to less than 1% of my US. Less options when it goes international though. If I can get 30-90 days of protection from almost any other retailer, then why bother with Amazon when I can't even get a refund on an unshipped item

My Endgame Refund email came in at 8:02pm ET (I think 1am BST)

Ah right, on pre-orders only. Guess it's just one of those things then unfortunately. Slightly annoying but it's a good collectors edition, so worth the full cost anyway.

Anyhoo, the actual Blu-ray itself is chuffin' amazing no matter what price you've paid for it. Beautiful colour and densities, gorgeous grain, tight detail, diligent restoration and exemplary compression. Out-****ing-standing.

Ok i have never seen this film but would it still appeal to a grown adult?
Is it really just a childrens film or what?

Or is it a scenario where people who seen it when they were a child are going be liking it more with fond memories of it?

Myself i like all types of sci-fi films even better if there made well & still hold up well even if there an older film.

This film does sound interesting though with the added news also that the new blu-ray release is damn great.

I ordered it the other day when it was at £23, I cancelled shortly after as I thought it was a tad expensive. Just reordered, very annoying how their prices go up and down so frequently.

I thought I'd support Second Sight and pay the £22 on release for this, as I did with Take Shelter and The Changeling, but this is out of order, £15 within a week of release is a real kick in the teeth and I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that. I'll wait a month next time and pick it up at the cheapest retailer.

Just ordered mine from Amazon for £15. It's coming tomorrow. I knew there was a reason I held off the pre-order. Really excited to see how it looks and sounds. Shame there's no UHD release though.

This was a blind buy for me and to be honest I'm a little disappointed. I didn't really enjoy the film. Hopefully the extras are good. I had a feeling I was foolish blind buying the Ltd Edtn box and not waiting for the standard release.

I bought the previous German import Blu-ray and was pleased with it (coming from VHS). I just now ordered the new one from Amazon UK for $19USD shipped. Can't really complain! This was a childhood favorite of mine, but it ages well (pun intended). I'm excited to compare the two as soon as I get my new copy.

Hopefully the new 4K scan means a 4K release will follow. I will triple-dip, just in case Second Sight is reading this.

And the £15 has gone off Amazon again. Cheapest now is £23.97 from a marketplace seller. Good job I popped on here this morning and saw the deal. It's arriving tomorrow

My £15 copy was delivered today, I was going to take some pics later but the site review, by Dr. Svet Atanasov, includes a bunch of photos as part of the screenshots & the packaging page.

There are 9 pictures in above link, here are a few;

_________

I do however have the old UK DVD (or the newspaper promo version at least), so could do some comparison screenshots.
Unfortunately the screenshotcomparison site is gone, so it would have to be imgur hosted for flipping between browser tabs.
