Good luck with that. Was it ever released on DVD? I only saw it once, but it was nowhere near as good as the book.

Never released on dvd yet as there's still a legal battle over the soundtrack I believe.
I have the laser disc which is slowly dying.
The books great but I'd still like to see on blu.

I wondered why that was. Very unique movie. In a time where sequels, reboots, and rehashes are plenty, it would be nice to see such an original movie like this released.

Soundtrack? What the heck songs were in this film? I can't remember.

You lucky dog, having it on LD, I would love to transfer that sucker to DVD for ya

Did a few of mine already, turned out pretty good when using high end tools.

Wow its from the 80's (flashback). Did not even realize it was a Michael Mann film. I have a feeling it is not something he is proud of or he could have pushed for a release on DVD.

Looks like Paramount is the distributor.

Its by Krautrock legends Tangerine Dream. It was (very briefly) available at concerts over a decade ago with a view to a full issue by Virgin but the rights issue still hasn't been sorted. Plenty of bootlegs available
