The price. The effort. The release date...

Yeah my US copy arrived yesterday so I won’t be needing it but nice to see the UK getting some stuff like this finally.

I need to get the rest of the movies next. Seen some Blu rays out there.

Well, looking more at the Blu rays for the later films it turns out they’re the Spanish copies that I don’t really want. Looks like I’ll be waiting with crossed fingers for the UK releases as I’ve been making my way through the 1-8 boxset this weekend and am really enjoying them.

I have the US set and just bought cheap 3D glasses online. I think the Anaglyph 3D is fun. The effects are corny and obviously the colours on the 3D version are all to hell but at every opportunity something comes right out the screen at you. It's easily the most fun 3D experience I've had.

I saw it at the cinema in 3D on release. It was fun, they used every trick in the book

Pretty sure I still have the glasses somewhere, along with the Jaws 3D ones. The Jaws ones had a shark sticking up in the middle of them.

Anaglyph is painful, real stereo 3D all the way.

Am I reading the Amazon description wrong or is there only seven (7) films in this UK collection?

Well the art definitely says 1-8, but they've left off the extras for Jason Takes Manhattan in the product description for some reason. I assume it's just a mistake on Amazon's part.

£44.99 is laughable.

I want to support HMV and FOPP as much as possible but some of their box sets are stupidly over-priced.

Glad I got this from WOWHD.

Bought the US collection for half that when it was released originally.

There was a German release of Jason Goes to Hell/Jason X but that appears to be OOP now.

TBH I'd skip Jason Goes to Hell & Jason X, and go straight the semi-good Freddy vs Jason

Is this the first time all 8 Fridays have been in a single collection in the UK? I remember there being a Crystal Lake to Manhattan set that was released in the UK years ago. Did it include part 1? Seeing as how that’s WB overseas, did they strike a deal to include it in a box set this time around?

Just order from Zoom. Checkout as a guest, enter discount code SIGNUP10, get it the Friday before release for £27.

Yes it had part 1, I owned it. I also remember a mistake where Friday The 13th Part 3 was just called Friday The 13th on the packaging.

I wish the sequels would get solo releases. I like to cherry pick. Mind you, if Parts 4 and 5 had the mono I probably would've gone for the set. Why drop audio from the DVD sets?

I notified them but not sure if it'll be fixed.
