Plain Archive will finally be releasing the Choi Min-sik starring thriller/courtroom drama Heart Blackened on blu. Possibility of a signed card. This is one edition where I wouldn’t mind any of the signed cards. A huge fan of every actor involved and the director too!

didn’t they state, at an earlier date, that rights issues restricted them to dvd? must have changed.

I was particularly impressed by Lee Hanee and Lee Soo-kyung, the latter even more so. Choi Min-sik was brilliant as usual and I love that final shot of him in the film. I look forward to revisiting it when I receive my copy.

Congratulations on the signed card; I have no idea who that is! It’s definitely not Choi Min-sik, Park Shin-hye, Ryu Jun-yeol or Lee Soo-kyung, whose sign I got with Yongsoon. So my guess would either be Lee Hanee or the director Jung Ji-woo

I wanna say it’s director Jung Ji-woo, but I’m not completely sure. I’d like to think that the director of “Happy End” and “A Muse” is not the sort of guy to draw stars and smiley faces with his autograph.

Park Shin-Hye, that’s awesome! Thanks for that info, key714! I’ve been a fan of hers since “You’re Beautiful” (can’t believe that show is 10 years old now) and especially “Miracle in Cell No 7”. Think I’ve seen most of her k-drama’s, she’s one of those “oh she’s in it, I’m watching it/buying it” actresses I’m a fan of (including Son Ye-jin, Jun Ji-Hyun, Chun Woo-hee, Shin Min-a, Bae Suzy and Han Hyo-ju). Haven’t seen “Memories of the Alhambra” on netflix yet though, but now that I've got her signed card, I guess I have to haha. I’ll get to that after “Vagabond”.

As for “Heart Blackened”, watched it yesterday - what a classy, stylish, engaging movie. The story, the acting (Jo Han-chul’s performance was so fun to watch), the filmmaking, liked everything about it. This movie deserves more attention.

And is it just me or is the picture quality on this blu-ray just fantastic? I mean, it’s the best looking blu-ray I’ve seen in a long time. I’m so happy with this purchase, a great release.

then it went from solid to great! DougieJ described its best: "classy, stylish, engaging movie" indeed. Very believable acting from all the leads. And I loved that song piece in the recording studio btw, very nice.

Has anybody seen the Chinese movie it was based on? I always wander how much a remake deviates from the original.
