I picked the Departed over Casino and Goodfellas just because there wasn't any annoying women in it. I hated the constant screaming and crying just shut the **** up!

Tough call but going with Goodfellas. Outside that tier of the ones most people have already mentioned he has some great, hard to call them under rated, but ones no one talks about in Mean Streets, After Hours, and King of Comedy. All movies if just about any other director made they'd be in your top two or three. That's just how good he's been for the last 35 years.

Picked Last Temptation Of Christ. I have to say I was surprised/stunned by it when I watched it a few years back on DVD. Hadn't expected it to be so thought provoking and interesting. Really gave me a different perspective on William Dafoe as an actor.

I'd also go with Raging Bull and I suppose Taxi Driver as tied for second, though would give the nod to Raging Bull if forced to pick one.

I would have to say that "Raging Bull" is far and away his best film. It's a true masterpiece. Also, while this is not his best film, some may want to give "The Age of Innocence" another look. This film is really well done and can easily go alongside the best of Merchant/Ivory. Our course...don't expect guns and wall to wall cursing. This is a one-off achievement in the Scorsese canon.
