Default Recommend rear surrounds

I'm interested in purchasing some rear surround sound speakers. I've got all Polk stuff, I know the sub sucks, but I'm gonna buy a Ed sub this summer. I've got CSi5 center, and RTi8s as L, R, SL, and SR. I would prefer bookshelf size speakers. Which Polks(or comparable brand, and matching sound) should I be looking at for buying? My price range is 300-400 for the pair, will be buying online. Thanks for any help!

Axiom Audio QS4 v2 428/pair

These quadpolar surrounds should give you a really immersive experience. There a lot of finishes so you can match your polks.

Paradigm ADP-190 these should be around your price range. The next level up ADP-380 are around $500/each.

I have to second those Axiom's - really nice speakers.

interesting, most of us don't use floor standing speakers for surrounds but I suspect that it works out great for you. i'd be willing to bet that either my surrounds or my surround backs would be good for you. If space is an issue then you want to go with the tsi100, the 200's are big beefy speakers (and I love them!) I'm all Polk and they sound great. Oh yeah, with such large speakers don't you have them all set to large? All of my speakers are set to large, I bring this up because you say your sub sucks. you should be getting plenty of base from those towers you have. I can under stand if you want that extra rattling then you might need the sub. Best of luck!

Would those Axiom's work on stands? I have some stands that are 7"x7" and can't do wall mounting. They look really sweet. I've been looking at the Def Tech BP2/2x as well for down the road.

I wouldn't set any of those speakers to full band.

They have a ceiling bracket.

They sell their own stands, because of the woofer on the bottom of the speaker.

$286 a pair for the stands... wow. I have plaster walls and ceiling... hence the no mounting rule.

The Emotiva ERD-1 can be mounted on stands, although they recommend wall-mounting them.
