Just watched The Queen last night (no, not Latifah!). Helen Mirren was captivating and her performance is truly Oscar-worthy. Not many people on thsi forum talk up this film, but I found it quite revealing and somewhat disturbing. The Queen does not reflect well on the British Royal family at all.

seriously, NT2 is winning? im sorry but thats like maybe 5th.

and 2 people voted for all of them? like as in, all hellen mirren films are all equally great, i can't decide, all of them!

and none of them. none of them are her best? seriously.

Certainly The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and her Lover. Needs a blu-ray release.

Also really enjoyed her subdued performance in The Mosquito Coast (also needs blu release).

She is wonderful in Calendar Girls as well, though the movie is not very good.

She's quite funny in Greenfingers.
