Same with me, for now it has the better library of games, and I have more friends that play games on it so naturally I will pick games up for it over the ps3, although there are ps3 exclusives that i'm glad i have it for. I originally bought my ps3 for movies anyway.

Nothing really to do with any sort of news, just a regular conversation thread.

Me 2 Me 2, I have both!

and I also have never had a problem with my launch 360 system.
Hopefully sony can take a few things from xbox; 360 has a very nice interface design and feel, and a great store (marketplace, great demo/buy system, sony store just still sucks right now, grrr).
Hopefully 360 eventually goes internal blu-ray so I will have an excuse to get a new version with a smaller chip and HDMI (for the kids play room of course).
I do love my PS3, sony has always had a much better selection of games (give the PS3 time), and obviously blu-ray (dont own or want to own an hd-dud), so dont think I am bashing sony in any way; microsoft has an advantage on a few next-gen game things, but I trust sony will catch up and learn, and then pass the 360. (OR ELSE! )

I own it for 2 reasons: Gears Of War & Guitar Hero II. If the guitar for the PS2 version of the game worked with the PS3 I probably wouldn't have bothered to get the system. Also, with Bioshock & Halo 3 coming out, it may yet become a somewhat worthy purchase. But, I won't be considering Halo 3 as a purchase until I've had my hands on Unreal Tournament III. I have a feeling that Halo 3 will suck in comparison.

As for the rant boy up top... chill out buddy. Besides, the posters on this forum tend to have good reason for ribbing somebody. I'm sure that you probably said something that clearly offended. Without an apology that scenario can easily become a battle of wits (of which, by your candour in the above post, you are clearly unequipped to handle )
Why hate to admitting owning a 360? Yeah it gets dumped on, but I have one and I love it for games, and I buy blu-ray for movies. I was considering selling my 360 at one time, but I like the selection of games. I'll be picking up Bioshock on Tuesday, along with Van Wilder on blu. And I'll probably hold out on a PS3 until I see a God of War or Champions of Norrath game available. Personally, if I just had a PS3 I'd be chomping at the bit to play Bioshock, so yes I'm a proud owner of a 360 and have no fear in admitting it!

I loved my Xbox and passed on the PS2 during that gen. I was also one of the first people to actually play the 360 before it came out, courtesy of a private invite from Microsoft no less. However I wasn't impressed and wrote about my likes and dislikes (mostly dislikes, or just plain 'eh' remarks) and I never heard from MS again. The Xbox was a great system which MS abandoned way too early. As for Live, I was also in the first Beta group for that and while at the time it looked promising I couldn't see paying $50 a year for a service I got for free on the PC, and the fact that all the servers were peer owned, instead of MS dedicated just rubbed salt in the wound. So I ditched MS infavor of Sony. While I didn't like the PS2, I commend Sony for still supporting it fully 7 years later. Microsoft pulled the plug after 4 on the Xbox. My brother owns a 360 (and PS3 now) so I finally got to play Gears of War. While it looks pretty, it still left me with an 'eh' feeling. Plus I hate the look of the 360. White, or actually offwhite is so passe. It looks ugly and cheap. I might consider picking one up when the black elite hits the sub $200 range but most of the Xbox exclusives also come out on PC which I have a killer system so I'll probably just stick to that.

Just the PS3 for me. I did have a Wii but was bored with it and sold it on a certain auction site...

No interest in the 360, I've supported that MS Beast too much already!

never had an xbox and never will. ALTHOUGH... ken kutaragi is gone or atleast will not be given command of making anymore playstations such as ps4, ps5 etc... After this generation as in the end of PS3 . I will be doing a lot of research on the upcoming systems . If kutaragi goes to another company or atleast has another company developing for him. Or that another company accepts his knowledge and expertise to make another system i will be watchfull on that. I think without kutaragi sony is probably in their final stage of domination this time around. will have to wait and see what they come up with as a whole without kutaragi HMM....

The 360 people may one day become your allies **ironically** in defeating HD-DVD. Their HD-DVD add-on has poor playback quality and the movie selections are better on bluray. Therefore, because all 360's currently lack a bluray drive and because most of the hi-definition movies they'll want to watch are on bluray, all 11 million 360 owners will eventually be forced to contemplate the purchase of a standalone bluray drive when they're ready to jump into hi-definition movies. And the PS3 seems to be the best bluray player in terms of value in the market right now. And since they are gamers, too, most would opt for the PS3 unless they feel they've been burned too much in flame wars to love the PS3 anymore. Like I said to whomever it was that was bashing me for mentioning my preferences and tastes in movies that are different from their, I'm not going to waste anymore time in here. Good bye...!!!
Nice edit.

Too bad you aren't a person of your word. How many more "goodbye" posts are we going to get?

You do realize that people can read other people's post histories? Your whitewashing self martyr act is laughable, at best.
