not sure what you're looking for so I'm just throwing this out there. I was originally getting these to put my RS52's or RB81 surrounds on. At least they looked like these:

Not really "furniture" quality but I'm unsure of your situation. Good Luck

because it wouldnt sound as good. nezff, you know that considering your using klipsch as well.

im not certain as to how your diy skills are, but thats another option for you - you can build some too if ever. fill em up with sand to decouple em, and have em as high as you want.

just a thought.

as always, refer to your users manual as to how far your speakers should be from the wall. with klipsch, if im not mistaken, most of them are to be placed around 4 feet away from it, to avoid issues ive stated above. you cant avoid room interaction with your speakers, so you can either enhance it, or eliminate it by treating your room.

its all a matter of room interaction with your speakers. acoustics are definitely a topic that most enthusiast dont find neccesary. ive created a sticky here for some research and studying.

of course, at some point, we have to compromise due to the size of the room, WAF, and/or living conditions. but we can at least work with what we have and start from there.

I have a Klipsch setup that includes RS-62's, which are hung on the wall. I don't recall anywhere in the manual about keeping them 4 feet from the wall. Klipsch's biople surrounds are made to be hung on the wall.

sorry, i guess i didnt read the ops original posting too well. i was under the assumption he had bookshelves, and not surrounds. looking back, i rescind my original posting.

i was more or less advising the wrong speaker so to speak, and referring to the placement of FRONT speakers, and not surrounds.

apologies for the confusion.

No problem. At least we got it hashed out.

He will have to take extra care with speaker placement though, considering he is dealing with concrete walls, which are highly reflective.

What about stands for floor standing speakers? Mine are low to where we sit, especially the rear channel.

I was going to make some with plywood and 2x4's and some padded vinyl or that wooly looking fabric

how much elevation do you need tho?

if ever, you can try using these instead based on how high, and the footprint of your speakers...

subdude

subdudeHD
(personally, i dont care much about the black finish on it for 20 more dollars)

got bigger?

gramma

remember, these are sold individually, so double up on the money if ever.

great isolation and decouples your fronts, which would perform better than 2x4's. with the 2x4's tho, you can add sand in the middle part (like a sandbox or heck a litter box) to relatively decouple your speakers, but more practically to keep it stable. more mass more stability more peace of mind.

again, its a matter of budget too, so any which way would work.

I need about 6" on the back and probably 3 1/2 in the front, all by eyeball and not set with a laser
