Stargate actually gets a decent review from High Def Digest... Maybe this one is worth checking out...

Lions gate used the extended version.
By reading the review i get the feeling that lionsgate put the extra 9 minutes in so that people wouldn't use the "oh another bare bones title" but then that 9 minutes of footage is in bad condition and probably shoulda been left out...

DOH! double edged sword.

well, atleast the reviewer was pretty fair for once.

FWIW the extended footage in Stargate looked bad on the SD DVD as well so it's no surprise it wasn't restored for the BD.

BTW, this belongs in the Movies forum and as such I'm moving it there.

You really think it would have occured to Samsung or Sony or... whoever, to get on the phone to the hidefdigest fella and hook him up with the best Blu Ray Player they current have, and replace the buggered Samsung. He's still using one with a noise reduction chip set on.

We're all getting our reviews from this one source... That one player would have been worth it's weight in gold...

Might pick this one up....
