I know for Star Trek: The Animated Series DVD, for some reason it's not coming up with the Blu-ray equivalent.
Is there a specific criteria used to determine if a Blu-ray title is the equivalent of an existing DVD? |

Looks like you have the Blu-ray set in your wishlist. I think that is why it is being filtered out of your upgrade list.

Hey all,
I just started tracking my collection and would bump this thread as it's similar to my question/problem. One feature which stood out to me was the option to check for upgradability, so you can see, if there are Blu-Rays or 3D Blu-Rays or 4K upgrades available based on the versions you have. Now, this seems to work mostly, but not reliably? For example, I added a Matrix Ultimate DVD Set with all three movies (I only added to set, not the individual movies) and the Upgrade View correctly shows upgrades to Blu-Ray and 4K for these movies. I did the same thing with a Lord of the Rings Extended Edition Set on Blu-Ray, but no dice. There is no upgrade being shown at all (I am checking for all languages to rule out problems here, but my version is German and there would also be a German upgrade). Also, my wishlist is empty, so that's not it. At first I thought, that I might have to add the three movies individually, but this didn't help. I then thought, maybe the 4K versions are theatrical + extended cut and since my Blu-Rays are extended cut only, maybe the matching doesn't work. But firstly there are indeed extended cut only 4K versions and secondly they all are linked to the same base three movies, so that shouldn't make a difference I guess. Does anyone know, if this feature is still in development or buggy or am I doing something wrong? I tried to search the forums, but looking for anything with "upgrade" leads to maaaaany results :-). Skimming through some pages didn't turn up helpful threads. Hoping for some older members shedding some light on how old this function is and how much it can be trusted. It would be a shame, since the main reason for me would be, that I don't have to track/check every movie manually for upgrades but if this is unreliable, then I have to do it anyways. Therefore, I hope I am doing something wrong. Last edited by Xenothar; 07-07-2024 at 11:52 AM. Reason: Added info on whishlist |
