Default Netflix Daybreak

Anyone else watching this show? It just came out a few days ago. It's not really my kind of thing but I was kind of enjoying it. I liked the characters and it's a stupid kind of fun.

I was looking forward to sitting down and binging the rest of the season this morning (my day off) But at episode 5, for me at least, it went from stupid enjoyable fun. To just stupid boring irritating and disappointing, no longer interesting.

Like it switched from being a fun silly comedy about the apocalypse, to a nothing going on personality drama which isn't working for me on this kind of show. I skipped ahead to episode 6 because I was fed up with the bor fest of episode 5 and hoped it would get more interesting again in the next episode but I couldn't get into it anymore and turned it off. Like they ruined the fun of it for me.

Okay so I decided to give it another go since I started out enjoying the show and wanted to continue enjoying the rest of it. I was hoping I could come back and say it was actually a pretty cool show after all. But I can't. I think I'm done with it now. In the middle of episode 7 and it's still not going anywhere, just being dumb.

So the short review. The first four episodes are fun and silly and shows some promise as a silly adventure comedy about the apocalypse. But at episode 5 the show completely dies and goes nowhere like the writers have no idea where they want to take it. And there is just scene after scene of boring not that comical dumb shit with no real adventure to it anymore.

I'm out of this one. It's too bad actually.
