I could use some help in selecting a new la top. I'm not real techie and I think I'm going to need to get something new soon.
I'd like something with a big screen like 17 inch. And something with excellent picture quality for streaming Netflex. I'm currently using a Lenovo that I've had for several years now and has a pretty big screen. I only paid three hundred something for. I'm starting to have charging issues because of the power cord not inserting properly, it's starting to get really difficult for the computer to register the power cord. Maybe that can be fixed, but I kind of would like to get something new anyways. Even though my Lenovo supposedly does 1080p quality picture it doesn't look anywhere near as nice as my TV or my phone so it's not as fun watching stuff on it for that reason. And other than for streaming Netflix and watching youtube videos or whatever I only use the computer for basic internet stuff any computer can do. Internet forums online shopping and looking up info. I'm not doing anything high tech at all with it. So I guess what I'd like is some suggestions on something with excellent picture for streaming with a large screen. I don't want to accidentally, unnecessarily, over pay for something with much greater capabilities than what I need if I can get something that is equal to picture quality and screen size for a lot cheaper. I was looking at these that seem real nice. But doesn't look like they even keep them in stock at the store. And they are spendy. For all I know there could be something else out there much cheaper that is just as good for my purposes. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/dell-in...ustomerreviews This one is a little less expensive. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/dell-in...?skuId=6347449 Last edited by Lovemy3D; 11-01-2019 at 04:32 AM. |

Well been putting it off, but getting sick of this computer. Can't move it for fear of losing power. And now having some other issues too. Think I'll just go in store, see what's in stock. Check out Best Buy.
Wallmart has some cheap deals but nothing with a good sized screen. Would prefer something 16 or 17 inch but will consider sacrificing an inch or two, I'll see what the options are I guess. Thanks for all the recommendations. ![]() |

Anyone have one of these? All I really need is something with a decent screen size and really good picture quality. But I keep being attracted to these thousand dollar laptops. At least it would be nice to know I could use it for gaming if I wanted. I'm very tempted to just go for it. Alright I'll quit spamming my thread. Obviously no one is interested. Maybe I asked in the wrong area.

So, took the plunge, finally. I just picked up a Dell Inspiron 17 7000 2-in-1
It set me back twelve hundred. At first I was a little down about spending that much of my savings but after a few minutes of playing with it I'm blown away by how much nicer it is than the old Lenovo I was using. 17 inch screen like I wanted and the picture quality is incredible. Just watched a few minutes of lost in space on it and wow... So I'm pretty happy. Thanks everyone, woot! Edit: This is the one I got right here. ![]() https://www.bestbuy.com/site/dell-in...?skuId=6372667 Last edited by Lovemy3D; 01-07-2020 at 10:42 PM. |
