Somebody be honesty with me..... Is this worth a watch? I loved Rebels but I have been very skeptical about this show. Also, the fact that its getting canceled after its second season isn't too reassuring....

It is very kiddy, by far the youngest target of any of the Star Wars animated. The main character is used as comic relief in addition to side characters. The main character is pretty much Shaggy from Scooby-Doo or Gilligan. If they had kept with the formula and made him not a joke while using droids and side kick as comic relief it would have been much more tolerable. It just kinda depends how much you love Star Wars and how tolerable the most kiddy stuff of Rebels and early Clone Wars were to you.

I watched it with my then-seven year old, and I'd say that really helps. Things intensify in the second half of the season, so patience is needed. I'd also say it plays much better when all the episodes are available and you can binge. You can see it develop more clearly that way.

It would be a great show if it wasn't for the Resistance/First Order.

Kaz as a wannabe Republic fighter pilot stuck on the station. Let there be a different villain/adventure each week but with the Big Bad throughout the season be those pirates - where way better than First Order guys too.

The animation is beautiful and the characters (station residents/pirates) are very likeable.

It isn't getting cancelled. It was only intended to run for two seasons. I get the sense that it's purpose is just to keep Star Wars on the air while Filioni was busy elsewhere.

It is not patch on Clone Wars or Rebels but it is worth a watch. It is lighthearted, breezy fun.The animation is beautiful. The characters are likeable but don't really develop. It doesn't expand the mythology like the other shows. I don't like anything First Order/Resistance so that drags it down a lot.

I started watching it on Disney+. I’ve seen like 5 episodes and I’m not digging it at all. Not a fan of the main character.

I take it from the comments above that I should bail on the show but before I do is there anything mythology wise that Is important in this show? I read it takes place leading up to Force Awakens whoch is why I was watching it.

I never finished Rebels but plan to now with D+, but wanted to get thru Resistance first since there were less episodes.

This show has really tested my patience as a Star Wars fan. I love Clone Wars and Rebels, as well as all the movies, but this show is so hard to watch. It feels like there is really no overall plot arc that is being advanced. First season was the gang bumbling around on a planet. Season two is the gang bumbling around in space. The characters are so one dimensional and without any connection. This latest episode involving the Sith temple was just unbearable to watch, mainly because Kaz is so inept, so clumsy and so utterly incompetent that you actually want him to die. Every bad situation was due to him doing something stupid or impetuous, and he simply WILL NOT SHUT UP. He's got to be one of the worst characters in the Star Wars universe. I'll keep watching this damn show because I kind of feel obligated to see it to its end hoping that there is some meaningful connection to the current movie trilogy, but once its done, I'm never going to watch this terrible series ever again.

I bailed after the first couple of episodes.

Glad to see I haven't missed much!

This is a show for kids. We watch it as a family— they love it. We do too.
