Default Gettysburg: The Battle and the Address

Gettysburg: The Battle and the Address Blu-ray

Gettysburg: The Battle and the Address Blu-ray Review

I bought this about 2 weeks ago and wanted to review it, but since it supposedly has not been released I will just write a little bit about it.

When I watched it, I was taken back in the time of the civil war and what President Lincoln did for his country and the sacrifice he gave to his country. I recently will purchase a photo of President Lincoln and his Generals standing from the National Archives.

They did a great job on recreating the Gettysburg Address with computers and the picture quality is about a 4.5 and audio is a 4.5. Overall the documentry is a 5.0 The history involved is well put together and narrated very well.

I've been looking to get this, too. Do you know who put this together? The History Channel?

Lincoln was the greatest U.S. President. In addition to the war and a contentious cabinet and a tough congress and a series of failing generals (until he found Grant), he had a wife who was off her hinges as well as his own physical ailments to deal with. He kept the country united, and for all that he was assasinated at war's end. Probably the saddest story in our history of someone who did so much and got so little in return while he lived.

Default The Battle and the Address

Hi,
I don't know why this disc has an April 07th release date? I already have it.
It's from the Discovery Channel. I thought it was very well put together and I thouroughly enjoyed watching it.
Michael

It's probably the most important part of the US history. I'll put it on my wish list for sure.

From Amazon.com:

Running time: 120 mins
Format: Full Screen???
Ratio: 1:33

Those last 2 points are dissapointing, I hope it's a mistake from Amazon.

It was discussed about a month or so ago, make a search in the topics and you'll find it.
