Awesome movie, will definitely buy. Just probably not day one, unless there's a cool exclusive.

My spouse and I were so excited to see this that we ventured to the theater -- which we've only done 4 times this year -- and we were both disappointed. It's an okay diversion, but the superb cast was severely under utilized and it was not as good as we'd expected/hoped. I assume this is supposed to be a comedy, but in our sold-out theater, there was maybe a chuckle once in a while; otherwise, it was dead silent.

Isn't that odd how things are different for each person. I went last night and the people in my theater were laughing riotously throughout the movie. I really enjoyed it. It didn't go as I had expected and I loved it for it.

I felt the same way. I did think it was funny at times - in particular Toni Collette was hilarious - but it fell flat for me also. The movie is basically about Daniel Craig, Chris Evans and Ana de Armas and incorrectly billed as an ensemble film. Why even cast great actors if you're going to do nothing with them? The main cast should've been half the size and it would've been more effective. The majority of the cast existing solely to be suspects didn't work for me. For example, Jaeden Martell had maybe five lines in the entire film? There was no room for character development for anyone outside of the three leads.

The two biggest stars and the lead female get the most screentime. What a strange concept.

I was 100% picking up what this movie was laying down. Loved it. I also enjoyed watching it with a fairly big audience (especially for a Tuesday matinee!) who were also clearly loving the movie and picking up on a lot of the subtle humor in the writing and performances. I say this with an asterisk since nothing quite compares to the Endgame experience, but this was probably my favorite cinema experience of the year. It’s going to look really good on UHD, too.

Glad this is getting a 4k but really what makes Lionsgate decide to release some things in 4K and others not? Does it need to earn a certain amount of money?

I feel Lionsgate is very liberal with it's 4K releases.

Yes! Lionsgate is more liberal than an art student at Berkley.

Such a great film. A total thrill ride with the same quirky humor that made The Brother’s Bloom a sheer delight.

I can’t wait to pick it up in 4K.

My point was that the other characters weren't developed at all. I wasn't advocating for equal development across the characters. Besides which, the marketing with everyone on the poster and everyone receiving a character poster made it seem like all the characters were important or at the very least more than just props or wallpaper, which they were not.

Regardless, I was responding to someone who shared similar thoughts. There is no reason to attack anyone for having a different opinion than you.

All I know is that it was reviewed as this generation's Clue and it was certainly not that, for better or worse.
