Awesome! I was hoping it would come out on Blu-ray. I enjoyed what I sampled on streaming but would much prefer to view it this way.

I hope it includes both the color and black and white versions.

What about the 2002 series? Why is that not coming out to BD? I understand the 80s series, but that one should come out.

I'll probably pick this up. I only watched The Comedian, and while I wasn't a fan of it (too long), I'll be willing to give this show support. Plus, I want to see the episodes in B&W.

Even if they're not included, you can always do what they did and just desaturate the color on your TV. To the best of my knowledge, they didn't go back and re-grade the color like, to compare it to another contemporary example, George Miller did with Mad Max: Fury Road.

I've been wanting to check this out but don't want to subscribe to yet another streaming service. I planned to sign up for the trial, but I want to make sure I have enough time to watch a good amount of programs.

Or what James Mangold did for Logan.

Sweet, I've been checking weekly for this! Was hoping to have it before Christmas but having this come out a day before my birthday isn't too bad at all!

Blasphemy. They have tried 4 times in my lifetime to redo the Twilight Zone and they fail to understand what made the original show the greatest tv show of all time.

I haven't checked out any of the previous attempts other than original series, but I agree this one missed the mark pretty badly. That being said I wouldn't say it's unwatchable, I just found too many episodes predictable, if not outright boring. Considering it's only 10 episodes and probably pretty high budget, you'd think they'd have more consistency.

I’m glad this will be available to fans and potential new fans on Blu!

That being said, I watched all 10 episodes when it was newly streaming on the CBS app and I found the series overall rather disappointing.

Of the 10 episodes, I would say I thought maybe 4 were very good and creative. Another 2-3 were probably just decent. And then the remaining 3 or so I found honestly not very good.

The good news is I think the series still has good future potential. I’m hoping they do more seasons because I like the idea of new Twilight Zone stories in general.

Oh I doubt this iteration could be worse than the 80s version. I finished Season 2 the other day and 90% of the stories have no ending and the narrator has no presence. While I may have found THe Comedian to be too long, Jordan Peele was right there engaging the audience right at the beginning and end of the episode, which is far more than that lackluster disembodied joke of a voice does in the 80s show.

Wait until you watch The Wunderkind. Single worst thing I've ever seen.

A Traveler might have been the best, it had the most potential at least, but it ended when it should have kept going. The problem I had with the show is instead of just using themes from the real world to tell a story, they got a little preachy with it. And the way people acted just wasn't realistic at all. Apart from that, it was fine. I wouldn't want to watch them again, but they're not unwatchable. It's always nice when a TV show, specifically a streaming exclusive, gets a physical BD release though no matter what your opinion of it is.

The Wunderkind was the worst. The allegory for a certain political figure was so heavy handed I felt like I got hit in the face with a sledge hammer.

Though to be fair, the original was often preachy and the dialogue/actions of the characters often wasn't realistic, either.

I haven't seen this new version yet, but am willing to give it a go at some point...

No thanks. I watched the entire season, and there was maybe one episode that was entertaining to me. I think the main problem is the hour format, many episodes drag and drone on in an effort to fill the time. And many of the episodes would start off with an interesting premise but they would just take every wrong turn imaginable until you lose interest or stop watching out of frustration.

I’m happy to see new shows still being released on Blu-ray, but I’ll be skipping this for sure. I have hope that maybe next season will be better. If you haven’t watched any or all of the first season, read some reviews first.

The 80's Zone was overall pretty darn good (the last season did suffer from a lack of budget). To me their two for four.

I enjoyed many of the new TZ episodes, hated some, and was indifferent to others, much like the other TZ series. I do think the hour-long format is problematic, just like Season 4 of the original, so I hope TZ's showrunner and writers heed the valid criticisms of S1. They could switch to 30 min, or tell several stories of varying length in the hour format, but I think that 60 min narratives don't serve TZ well.
