Does anyone happen to know what the deal is with the new German blu of Lorenzos Öl? I've had it preordered for a while on Amazon.de (it lists the street date as September 27th) and, while Amazon isn't the seller, they are the fulfillment company. It lists as in stock. However Amazon has been telling me they don't actually have it, but won't change the listing from being in stock. Was it ever actually released or was it delayed? I can't get a straight answer from anyone.

very subpar Video (no idea if horrid encoding (bitrat is low, but not TOO low) or horrid DNR applied, or if it how it was delivered)

Can anyone with the German blu ray of Lorenzo's Oil confirm if it has English subtitles? Here on bluray.com, only German is listed but on a picture on Amazon UK, it says both German and English subtitles are included. Can someone play and kindly check their copy of the blu ray?

I have a Norwegian Blu-Ray disc of this movie I just bought. I too see a similar runtime as you at 2:15:12

Why do other sources list the movie as having a runtime of 2h 9m or 2h 10m?

There is no mention of this BD being a different cut of the movie. Could it be that the 2h 9m runtime is a mistake different website just repeated? And yes, this BD transfer isn’t what we’d call perfection.
