Didn't they reveal in part 3 that the Arnold-Terminator kills John in the future? Still it seems odd that this would happen already since they plan on making a trilogy.

Just want to add that this was posted on Aint-it-cool news some time ago and was denied by many including McG. Sure, one would say that it's par for course that they would deny, but I tend to believe them in this case. Let me do some digging.
