New Line / Weinstein Fear!!! - Blu-ray Forum

Here's a question! If Paramount pulled back their Blu-ray releases to obviously ponder this offer from the rats at Microsoft, who is to say that New Line and Weinstein aren't doing the same? Have they held off in order to consider a similar offer? Or worse, perhaps they have decided but have been negotiating the finer details of an offer such as this one?!?!?! THE FEAR IS STRONG IN THIS ONE!!!

Weinstein has yet to solicit anything, and I don't think BB is going to break exclusivity with BR outrenting HD 6-1 in the test stores.

New Line will likely follow their parent company's lead

I emailed New Line last week and received a reply that "Lord of the Rings"
will in all probability be out on Blu Ray and possibly "The Nativity Story"

What are they waiting for? Man, if I was running that company, I would've had LOTR out a loooooong time ago.
