First off, this speaker is in a different level alltogether than the rest of their speakers that they make. Usually, if a speaker that is the same is made with two different impedances they are the same price.

Ughh. Again I can't understand anything you just said. Klipsch doesn't have any 4 ohm speakers on their line except for this line of speaker. I was saying most brands, for instance JL Audio, if they have a speaker that is the same but with different impedances, their subwoofers which you can get in 8,4,or 2 ohm, they all cost the same price.

Sorry, I not expect. A standard AV/Receiver has 8 ohms impedance in a store. It’s not designing for loudspeaker at 4 ohms on AV/Receiver

If Consumer want to buy a fancy loudspeaker but it’s 4 ohms on standard AV/Receiver make a mistake on impedance.

Klipsch was making design loudspeaker mostly at 8 ohms impedance. Klipsch decide new loudspeaker at 4 ohms. I was surpised.

resistance to electrical current

The ohm is defined as the resistance between two points of a conductor when a constant potential difference of 1 volt, applied to these points, produces in the conductor a current of 1 ampere, the conductor not being the seat of any electromotive force.[1]

\Omega = \dfrac{V}{A} = \dfrac{\mbox{m}^2 \cdot \mbox{kg}}{\mbox{s}^{3} \cdot \mbox{A}^2}

In many cases the resistance of a conductor in ohms is approximately constant within a certain range of voltages, temperatures, and other parameters; one speaks of linear resistors. In other cases resistance varies (e.g., thermistors).

The most commonly used multiples and submultiples in electrical and electronic usage are the milliohm, ohm, kilohm, and megohm.

Polk too: the LSi (top line) are 4 ohm speakers. The others are 8 ohm.

These speakers are not meant to be hooked up to an A/V receiver. For 20,000, they are expecting people to hook these up to an amplifier that can power these speakers. Some A/V receivers can handle powering 4ohm speakers, but, I wouldn't think the results would be that great with these beastly speakers.

Those are some nice speakers! Way out of my league though. I'll stick with my little RF-63 until I win the lottery
