That's something that I asked myself several times as well.

For example The Big Blue is actually a really beautiful steelbook. And it's supposed to be 2000 copies only. Big Blue is not some unknown movie, but a widely known one and lots of people love it. And the steelbook is a worldwide exclusive. And it's still obviously not sold out.

Just compare that with all sorts of Asian steelbooks, that are sold out within some days and those are even more expensive most of the time. (inb4 leti)

For this movie I actually expected that it being almost sold out was a lie, because Wolf Creek is not some widely known movie and after a bit of research I also saw that most people, who know and like the movie aren't that impressed with the steelbook. I like it and bought it just a week ago for 11 pounds.

At least I wasn't tricked into buying it for full price, so that's at least something.

anyone know if this is region free? It says region free on this site but on zavvi it says region B? Who's lying?

No-one's lying really.

Zavvi just goes under the assumption that all UK releases are region B.
They can't really know in advance whether any given release will be region free so they just list them all as region B to cover their backs.

Several members here have tested the disc and confirmed it's region free so I'd say it's a safe bet.

How can there have only been 2000 of these?

I finally decided to do my bit to get these sold out and got a copy in this sale.

Typically Scanavo does bulk orders. 2k/3k print runs are pretty common. All depends on the title and region.

Are all of the releases in this series OOP? The first one was a favorite of mine when it first came out. Hadn't really thought of it until recently when I figured it was a long overdue upgrade but every release in the series seem to be out of stock everywhere. I found the first one used at a good price on eBay, but I haven't seen the sequel or the TV series yet so I'm wondering if I should shell out for them now before they get too expensive, or wait for a reprint. I read that John Jarratt was accused of sexual assault, but it seems he was found innocent and there will be a third Wolf Creek film coming soon. I'm wondering if that has anything to do with these going OOP. Anyways, the first film is criminally overlooked. I wish Scream or Arrow would put out a special edition - it's one of the few modern horror films I truly love.
