I've been using it since around 2007 or so. The selection is really good and almost all of the discs have no issues with skipping. The only issue I have is that sometimes the DVD is formatted for 4:3 displays (non-anamorphic) and Ive had to zoom in, resulting in a blurrier picture but 90% of the DVDs are anamorphic. Ive rented the Blu Rays as well but if Im just renting I always go with DVD to save money.

I've been a subscriber since January 2005. It's been my main way for renting movies ever since. In all that time I've only ever had skipping/freezing issues with two discs, years apart, and a third disc that never even arrived, only part of the envelope. I try to always make sure something is Anamorphic before I rent it (watching them from my PS3 via HDMI, my TV's zoom options are disabled) but sometimes things aren't marked correctly. It's not an issue I encounter too often, though.
I originally started with a 3-at-a-time plan but years ago I switched to just 1-at-a-time, and I've also since added the option to rent Blu-rays in addition to DVD. In the last year I've started occasionally renting movies via Google Play and streaming them but Netflix is still my go-to rental service. |
