Default The Prisoner of Zenda (1937)

By far the best version of this oft-filmed story, and one of my personal all-time favorite movies.

The DVD that currently exists is reasonably good picture-wise, but the sound is weak and could certainly be improved. Would love a good blu-ray.

Me too! A blu-ray is overdue. I love the 1950’s version a whole lot too. Both are perfect.

So I just saw that the (IMO terrible) 1979 version is on blu-ray.

But not the 1937 film. Which is still one of the best movies ever made. No exaggeration.

Come on . . . That's just shameful.

I’ve actually been wondering about this; I don’t think there’s even an HD master. Even TCM shows it in SD.
