This was just another site that I frequent for PS3 info. There may be some good news for blu coming today/tonight after all. I may be jumping the gun though.
http://www.n4g.com/industrynews/News-60901.aspx Don't jump ship just yet. The Force is strong with blu. |

This is all starting to smell of corporate conspiracy. First Universal Pres says HDDVD is so fragile that if they went nuetral, HDDVD would likely just die. Then Paramount goes HDDVD exclusive despite the increasing gap in BD to HDDVD sales. And now this rumor of Uni reconsidering Blu. Could the paramount thing just be a kind of transference system, by which MS/ Uni can judge the value of both formats in direct competetion between identical titles from the same studio? i.e. Paramount BD vs HDDVD & then Universal BD vs HDDVD...instead of trusting the numbers on WB's "300" BD vs HDDVD. Just a paranoid delusional thought that I thought made a little (non)sense of this insane corporate behavior.
I guess it's just more likely that this is all just to confuse the average consumer until MS HD downlads(or whatever) are "perfected." at least Sony knows how to play chess |

That is an interesting tidbit of news. I wonder why no one else has reported on this besides IGN? All I can say is that it would be fantastic if they went dual format because not only would Blu-Ray win within the year but then I could get the Bourne movies and Children of Men! Yay!

Maybe M$ and Toshiba got wind of this a while back, then approached Paramount. Which would make Paramounts decision comprehindable now:
Paramount would be the only HD-DVD exclusive, thus not much competition in selling movies... All conspiracy theory of course, I doubt Uni will go blu for a long time. It is nice to dream though... |
