I have that earlier boxed set. It's an impressive production: the interior consists of two smaller boxes that, no joke, are make to resemble small replicas of the Commandment tables (!).

But for all that, I never watch it, and were it not for the casing, would have returned it. The 1956 version of Ten Commandments is one of my five favorite movies of all time, and the box in question was one of my very first blu-ray purchases -- and it was also the first time that I discovered, to my horror, that even classic movies were, for their blu-ray releases, being re-graded in the modern teal/yellow Instagram-Matrix hues that I hate so much in contemporary releases.

In the Ten Commandments blu-ray, the walls of the sea look more like walls of moss than walls of water; skies are often a greenish cyan rather than blue; and whites are all sallow or beige, as if the disc were a scan of a old print that had been sitting around yellowing for 60 years. And teal is friggin' everywhere.

I will gladly purchase this new blu-ray if it returns to something closer to the cleaner, more natural DVD colors, where whites are white and blues are blue.

I have the box set and love it. I will wait for the 4k release. This cover art is not very good either.

Great price right now for $5.99, grabbed it because it has the silent version as well.

Got it too, thanks for the heads-up. Not my favorite cover of the releases out there, but can't beat that price, and I've wanted the silent version as well.
