Correct, it was Gianna's teammate, the teammate's parent and the pilot.

Little do some know he won an Oscar for Best Animated Short Film Dear Basketball.

When asked which award (Finals MVP, League MVP, or Oscar) would he take with him, without hesitation he said the Oscar.

Kobe was a true legend of the game and though retired he seemed like the type that would do more even after the game. The Oscar for Dear Basketball was only the beginning of what could’ve been.

Because he had 4 daughters he was a staunch supporter and promoter of Women's and Girl's Basketball. His own daughter GiGi you can find clips of her using her dad's moves in her travel team. Unfortunately Gigi was in the chopper with him when it crashed. So sad.

You can see a lot of Women's Soccer players and Women's basketball players especially the ones right now in college, Kobe had a big impact on them and was even mentoring a few.
