Default My ver. 2.0 HT

Hello all, I visit this site often but never post. I’ve finally posted some pics of my HT and placed the details in my signature.

This is actually sort of a ver. 2.0 from my first system which was a 42” Insignia LCD and an HTiB. I’ve just recently upgraded my Front L and R to Polk Monitor 50’s. I’m looking to upgrade the center soon. My receiver works well for me, and I live in a loft in downtown Charlotte, so I can’t really shake the bolts out of the beams.

I have a desire to upgrade my TV to a 52” Samsung 650 soon, but I’m going to monitor prices for a few months.

Any comments would be great.

Go Blu!

Very nice and clean space. The 50's are good performers too. I have a Sammy 46" 650, it's got great bang for the buck and excellent PQ. You want your center to match your fronts, so perhaps a Polk CS2/1 (if you can find them) or CS-20/10. This would work well with the fronts. Nice start!

Yeah,

I thinking about the Polk CSM or CS10 for a center upgrade, and maybe an Onkyo 606 to upgrade my receiver.

The moment you plug it in, you want to upgrade it-

I just upgraded a bit - I put in a Polk CS10 and an Onkyo 606.

I fired up Chronicles of Riddick and

It didn't sound that bad before, but now...

And the little screen says: DTS HD-MSTR

Yeah, I'm hooked.

Pics to come.

Very nice indeed. Congrats on the upgrades, seeing DTS-HD MSTR on the receiver always puts a grin on my face .....but now that you have upgraded the center and receiver, what's next? The surrounds, I'm sure.... The sickness has only begun!!! Good job!!

You've got a really beautiful place. When you make a homeowner jealous, that's pretty good.

I like your setup. Definitely should consider that TV upgrade- it looks a little small for your viewing distance. Still, great little setup!

I'm actually moving back into my house in June. I plan to add:

A very big sub - ED A2-300 most likely
HD projector
106" screen
I may actually upgrade my rears and add sides for 7.1

And yes, the 40" is a bit small but looks great - I'm going to mount it in my home office (June)
