Does anyone know if GKIDS is planning to release steelbooks for all of the Studio Ghibli movies?

That would be my guess, assuming they have the license to the Ghibli library..and the steels are profitable for them.

I would assume at least Totoro and Mononoke. Those are guaranteed sellers in the US. Some of the lesser-known (in the US) titles that the UK steel series has covered...I don't know.

Received my copy of Ponyo and Howl's today — the steelbooks are a nice metallic color — not a flat color.

And neither of them came with a slip as pictured in the OP. They're both shrink-wrapped with a hype sticker on the outside, so I don't think they were meant to come with slipcovers.

NOTE: They are also both 2-disc: Blu/DVD (no digi), + 8-page booklet

Then I’ll chalk it up to bad rendering because it sure looks like a die-cut slip the way the spine bleeds into the cover without a seam.
