Saw the trailer a couple of times and wasn’t impressed so far.
It’s Pixar, so still hoping the entire movie is a winner.

I liked the second trailer they showed before the Sonic movie better than the first trailer, but I'm still not really feeling the look and tone of this one. Hopefully it will be a nice surprise. The new trailer sure did look nice at the Dolby Cinema.

Yeah, I'm not really feeling this one either. None of the trailers really for me interested.

Yeah, this feels like a B project for Pixar.
Their real gem is probably gonna be Soul, releasing in June.

I just watched the trailer -- I would've never guessed this was Pixar because it seems so generic. Then I watched a trailer for Soul -- that is the Pixar that I know and love.

Not saying this will be the scenario, but once upon a time the B Project for Disney was The Lion King (1994). Their A Project was... Pocahontas (1995).

Personally I have no faith in both Onwards and Soul. I rather see something from Andrew Stanton or Brad Bird than incompetent Scanlon or pretentious Docter.

Still, I mean....original content is original content. I’ll take what I can get and judge the director’s latest work accordingly later.

This is a step in the right direction for Pixar, at least as of today.

On topic, if the trailers are anything to go by, then the UHD disc is bound to look beautiful. The audio? We’ll just have to see.

This film will be showing sneak previews early at quite a few AMC's in a few weeks and review embargo will be lifted quite a bit earlier than the release.

The movie is supposedly quite emotional and is a love letter from the director to his brother, both of whom lost their father at a very young age.

I'm not concerned that it won't be good. Looking forward to it.

I definitely got more of a sense of the emotional element from the second trailer. I still don't care for the character visual design but I'm hoping the movie will be good enough I can look past that.

This is not a pixar film...
This is a pre spiderverse SPA or dreamworks film...
Don't care if its good or not, it doesn't fit at all.
Hard pass

Hard pass
On the one hand, It doesn't seem pretentious enough to be a Pixar film. On the other, it seems to follow the same generic formula of buddy comedy road trip with an odd couple, so...

Another 4K DCP by Pixar, just like Toy Story 4.
