The soundtrack is popping, and the social media reviews are encouraging. Those are turning me to see it, instead of those weak and revealing trailers.

I'm not sure this cracks $30m. Apparently ticket pre-sales are really weak. Who knows, maybe it'll be saved by walk-ups?

The AMC Dolby and IMAX screenings tonight are filling up well. I imagine a lot of people have A-List though. Sonic did gangbusters opening night over here too in those same formats at the same theater.

Everywhere else is moderate from what I’m seeing.

Elisabeth Moss could really use a smash box office hit. Get it done, people.

Kinda hard to predict, but I think Onward's advance screening could be anywhere between $1-3 million.

True, but that one had other things going for it to be a success (Peele’s follow-up, horror film with a black cast, a quality horror film in general). Moss displayed the goods in that one scene, but she’s still a side character that gets limited screen time.

Not many people watched Her Smell (and apparently not The Kitchen either lol), so it would be awesome to see her shine as the lead and people actually take notice of her afterwards. Especially major studios.

This is her second role in a row where she’s being abused by a spouse. Hmm

Yikes. And her third consecutive film with abuse of any kind (Her Smell - drugs). Four if you count Us.

Somebody, please.....cast her as a magical unicorn animated voice.

Except without seeing it you don't know the trailer is revealing. A friend told me most of the trailer is from the first 50 minutes of the movie and that the trailer doesn't give much away at all. Which I'm very happy to hear.

AMC closed half its theaters in Italy due to coronavirus. The theater charts near me looked fairly weak for a Thursday opening with a 90%+ RT score and 3,600 theater count.

I think Universal blames the contagion paranoia if this opens under $25 mil. Which sucks because I'm a fan of Whannell after Upgrade, and Moss does need a hit.

The Invisible Man $26.5 mil

Um can some explain how they’re expecting Birds of Prey earning $5 - $6 million when it made $6.8 million last weekend?

You know it’s losing more theaters right?
