I have The Samsung UBD-k8500 and I get this with Pacific Rim uprising. Not sure why. I see it's made in Mexico and has BD live 2.0. I also just bought Jurassic world The fallen kingdom and it plays fine. I got them from Amazon, could it be a regional issue?

You neglected to say this is BD or 4K UHD BD. Make sure to look at the media under a bright light is free of fingerprints, finishing contamination. If it has anything clean with water sparingly, and use a soft cotton towel to wipe it to perfection. A reviewer of the 4K BD disk had it play fine on a Samsung UBD-k8500.

4k HDR. Tried cleaning it. Says something about doesn't meet specifications. Regular Blu-ray works

My Panasonic UB420 can't read the third layer of 3 layer/100 GB discs, I left it at the local Pansonic service on November 25th and they took them to Panasonic's HQ in Madrid, as of now it hasn't been repaired, I told Panasonic Spain around 10 times or more what's going on, that it doesn't read the third layer of an UHD BD/100 disc as this is the least reflective one but they just say there's nothing wrong with my player, but when I ask them if they've tried with a 3 layer/100 GB disc they say no, that they've tried with Panasonic's test disc that is most likely an UHD BD/66 disc. I've asked them to try with several 3 layer/100 GB discs, go to the last part of the movie by skipping chapters and see what happens. They haven't done that. Almost 3 months later my player hasn't been repaired and Panasonic keep on saying that there's nothing wrong with my player, but I keep on asking them if they've tried with any 3 layer/100 GB disc comercially available, I even did a list of titles for them, and they say no,test were done with Panasonic's test disc and they don't specify if his propietary disc is an UHD BD/66 or an UHD BD/100. Spain has a cancer, and it's called Madrid. If Panasonic Spain were in Barcelona (I'm not a Catalonian separatist, I'm not even Catalonian or have Catalonian relatives), the Basque Country, anywhere in Northern Spain, my player ahd been repaired ages ago. But Madrilians are that clumsy and incompetent. |
