Surprisingly never heard of this. It's a pretty unique lookin steel so i'm sure opinions will be split down the middle.

Now if this was a hellsing steelbook i'd be smashing my order button

$45 for a Steelbook edition of a Blu-ray that can easily be found for $5.99 during regular sales?
Even the MSRP is over twice that of the standard edition. What am I missing here?

Yeah, way overpriced.

I've always loved the movie since the VHS days, and own the old Blu-ray. The Steelbook artwork looks quite nice, but it's not something I'd pay that much for unless the actual disc content were different or improved.

Now if it was numbered #/2000 and had a nice lenticular slipbox, I would understand that price.
I’m all for supporting anime steelbooks, but they have to meet me halfway.

I'm not sure I'd like this as much as I used to, but it was one of the first anime films I saw (maybe the first) so I might buy it out of nostalgia.

I might be in the minority, but I wish it included the original dub, as well. I always enjoyed it.

I would love to have this as others had said it was one of my younger anime experiences and Ive always enjoyed it. However not for that cuckoo bird price. I also would want the original dub.

Regular blu is on sale for 10 bucks at Best Buy. Always loved this transfer, very well done for something that's from the 80s. I'm sure Bloodlust will get the same treatment even though that transfer was a bit shady, at least for me.

I'm sure the price for this will eventually drop. I hope Best Buy will eventually have it on their site in the coming weeks. I'll gladly pay 25 tops for it but 20 sounds reasonable. Time will tell.

A bit shady is putting it lightly. I remember thinking something was wrong with my picture settings when I popped in the BLOODLUST blu. Looked like a poster than had been out in the sun for ages.

Is the Streamline Dub included with the steelbook disc or is it the exact disc from the previous BD release? That could be the game changer for me to get this or at least wait for the price to go down. Anyone knows new info yet?

Seriously. Where do they get off with this Aniplex pricing strategy? All things considered, the first Vampire Hunter D was mediocre as all hell...

This better not be the result of my paranoia: "If Aniplex can get away with charging $200 for subpar crap, then by damnation so can we!"

Because......it didn't really work out for Ponycan.
