Does Hulu edit shows?

I decided to re-watch Smallville and in the pilot episode the scene of Clark stacking the jocks' trucks is gone. If this is the way the rest of the episodes are, I may have to find an alternative source.

ETA:I checked another place and the same. Apparently

in the commentary for that episode they did mention it wasn't something they think Superman/Clark would or should actually do. They backed it up by saying he's a teenager & you might expect a kid to do this so maybe with later releases they decided to cut that out.

Considering how many boobs and f-bombs I've heard on Damages alone, I doubt it. They are probably showing whatever the syndicated cut of Smallville is though. That's not Hulu but who it was licensed from.

Sorry to bring restart this one but I have a question. I also can’t find the thread where ER was discussed.
I binged through ER when it first joined Hulu. I hadn’t seen but a few minutes here and there in its original run. So here we go. I’m watching it a second go and it feels like there is missing material. Having recently watched it, I feel odd remembering little bits here and there so much. I know there are shortened episodes for syndication. But it just seems odd to change over to these. Anybody else watching this and noticing this?

I started watching Designing Women and it has a lot of odd cuts. I read that it is the syndicated version that has more cuts for commercials. I don't know the show well enough to know what has been cut out, though.

The tiny toons night ghoulery special cut out the full start of the special!

I think it is what print the studio sends them. Don't think they will cut something but just play what cut they get from the studio.

This is all gone from the hulu version of that special.
