Is anyone getting the QoS 3 pack with Liscence To Kill and The Man With the Golden Gun from Best Buy fro $60? I think I may just get the single QoS and then wait till May for the other 2. This 3 pack's packaging isn't the same as the other 3 volumes.

Having read this entire thread (and many others on QoS) my feeling is that some people like to be spoon fed their films. Everything that happens has to be obvious and easy to digest, not requiring too much thought. They don't like too much deviation from what has gone before (in the case of a franchise like Bond).

I saw this film at the cinema and enjoyed the experience, but really need to see it again to pick up all of the information presented. I will be buying the Blu and will watch Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace back to back.

This is not a bad film as has been suggested, but when you get a great start with Casino Royale, the next film has some work to do. It will be interesting to see where Quantum of Solace ranks in polls conducted a few years from now.

Exactly. People seem to forget that great chunks of Casino Royale were lifted directly from Ian Fleming's original novel and, as such, it was bound to be absolutely fantastic.

Quantum Of Solace was written by the folks that gave us Die Another Day (with a smoothing over by Paul Haggis)

You do the math!

I thought they only did the screenplay and not the story for quantum of solace (they also did the screenplay for casino royale). I also found the Casino Royale book and movie to be significantly different (though the bases of the story probably helped make casino what it is).

I might also add that the film would have been much better if the resource Greene was trying to get control of was never disclosed (it may have added some mystery to the film and allowed the focus to remain on the characters).

Mine arrived early today. PQ is stunning.

IMO this is a classy continuation of the Casino Royale movie, the action is non stop and thankfully it hasn't returned to the gadget ridden nonsense that the latter Sean Connery and Roger Moore films portrayed.

I'll be watching it again tonight!!!

Highly recommended... the only real flaw is that theme tune... Unforgivable!!!

I will be getting the box set. The other Bond Blu's I have are seperate packaging and I would prefer seperate packaging, but it is the movie I really want - not the package it comes in.

LTK is actually one I watch somewhat regularly but I have not watched TMWTGG in years and am past due to see that one again.

I can't wait for this one. It'll be my 50th BD (Casino Royale was my 1st

). Anyways I'm not buying into all the people whom are saying it sucked. This will be a blind buy for me and I expect it to be a top notch gritty James Bond action flick.

not my favorite Bond movie, but didn't hate it either. to me, it was too much action movie and not enough spy movie.

anyway, definate rental, i'm still on the fence about buying bond movie on blu, as i'm hoping they release one mega box set when all the films have been put onto blu-ray.

i respectfully disagree. imo goldeneye is better than solace (not a huge fan of the other brosnan films tho)
