Its weird i think. Region B has alot more extras then Region A release

different releases have different special features

Alliance Studios' Canadian releases generally have no special features while their US counterparts have them

In the US, its a New Line release and in the UK its an Optimum release, Germany its DFA/Senator. Different studios have the right to sell a certain title in a certain markets. Look at Beowulf during the format war, Its WB and was on BD way before Paramount dropped HDDVD and came back bluray. Thats why we import

I own the Optimum release and have watched the US release. The US is a high bitrate VC-1, with slightly better PQ than the very low bitrate AVC UK release. The US is also 7.1. So you can have more extras or better audio/video.

I have the optimum UK version - PQ is terrible, I think the movie takes up less than 13gb on a BD 25!

It's possible that the American distributor didn't want to take the time to localize the special features for release here... Of course this is assuming that the features are only in Spanish, if not then it's just a case of bad luck for Region A.

I think the review is accurate, the US is just slightly sharper.
