I'm hoping that the 4K remaster of FATAL ATTRACTION is amazing, but what actually kind of concerns me is the audio. I mean, will the audio hopefully be remastered as well. When the movie was originally released on Blu-ray, the review for that disc said that the audio was "lackluster", so I'm hoping the new Blu-ray does NOT use the same audio options from the original disc. If you want to know what I mean, please go the review for the original Blu-ray release, and you'll see what I mean.

I don't put much stock in audio reviews on this site nor other places even, because they often gloss over filtered and altered audio as if they have no idea what it is or sounds like.

That said, it's my understanding the film's original audio isn't 5.1 so here's hoping the original soundtrack is included.

Originally it was Dolby Stereo (L,C,R, Mono Surround) , and was even before the much improved Dolby Stereo SR, but even then it would be a later, or new nearfield home mix anyway, so I'm not expecting much.

The audio in Fatal Attraction was never that aggressive and tremendous to begin with. The soundtrack was always moderately subdued in its theatrical release and to home video afterwards.

Paramount's remastered Beverly Hills Cop was just HD on Blu-ray and UHD on digital only. Maybe that's their strategy from now on

Are you sure it will be a digipak? From the pics it could also be a
gatefold slipcover?

It definitely looks like a gatefold slip.

Think this was already confirmed in one of the other threads.

Edit: My mistake; was remembering a similar post you made about thinking that it’s a gatefold slip. Does appear to be though.

The Cruises are more than likely being released as a tie-in opportunity with Top Gun: Maverick though, following Paramount’s usual M.O.

I know. I was responding to the OP who said they wouldn't be releasing 4K catalog titles from now on

I was going to buy this but on ITunes for 15 dollars their version has 4K and HDR. I’m a big supporter of physical media but I might have to make an exception here

Just checked my amazon pre-order. They have not changed the price to this. Still shows the $22.99

I’ve never had that happen before. Is amazon trying to act like the price didnt go that low?? I saw the price drop too.

Well, it still says $12.00 on my pre-order page. It also gives delivery by release day (4/21). I wonder if that will hold up.

it was $12.99 for about a day last week but then went back to its regular price. If you pre-ordered it at $12.99 it will lock that price in when you get charged at shipping.
