Emotiva Speakers - Blu-ray Forum

So, I'm browsing Emotiva's amp offerings and start looking at their speakers. They look pretty well-made, and have some nice stats. Just curious- anyone own them or have listened to them?

*edit* One thing I am looking to do in the future is a rear bipole setup. I was originally thinking of Def Techs, but these look nice as well. However I thought this could potentially be a general Emotiva speaker discussion thread.

Are their speakers fairly new?

Try audioholics.com.......lots of Emotiva fanboys there and I'm sure you'll find an Emotiva Speakers Owners thread.

I can vouch for the amps but the speakers are A new thing with them I think ! they do have good specs. though !

Oh no Polk better watch out i see a new fad in speakers on this site about to start. Polk better start selling their speakers in walmart in they want to keep sales up, i think that's the only big retail store that doesn't sell Polk speakers.

The problem with some of these internet direct companies is how could you audition these? Do they offer a return policy if you're not happy with them?

From what I hear...Emotiva is actually pretty good in that regard. However, I wouldn't personally buy speakers online.

They would be stupid if they didn't ! I'm sure they do , I've heard A couple people here returned there amps ~ why beats me

I think they offer a 30 day money back guarantee like Axiom does. That's not bad it will alway be better auditioning them in your home then a store with perfect acoustics.

If they have great customer service, go for it. It's just scary not knowing what you're getting into before you spend the cash.

Yeah, I know. I read some Audioholics reviews and the folks over there love it, but hell... there's always a bandwagon people are jumping on.

I'm debating getting those or getting some BP surrounds from Def Tech.

DefTech, Polk, Mirage, Energy, Klipsch etc. have been around for a long time and have proven themselves to be reliable performers. This can't yet be said for the Emotiva line of speakers.
