Lionsgate UK will release Peter Cattaneo's Military Wives (2020) on 6 July 2020.

Kristin Scott Thomas AND Sharon Horgan in a film from the director of The Full Monty?! I'm definitely getting this, even though with that title and cast I keep wishing it was an entirely different 15 or 18 certificate film...

In seriousness, I would like to see this.

I have to admit when I saw the title 'Military Wives' I thought oo-er.....must be my mind!

The cover art has been updated. The new mustard yellow 12 cert against the brighter yellow cover does look a tiny bit like an 18 at first glance, at least on my screen:

Oh well, I can dream of the erotic drama that could have been.

Was really surprised how good this film was in a brassed off kind of way..

Simply an observation, I see that the choir is all female, yet as I knew it songs need a full range of voices. For many years the UK military has had a completely open door recruitment policy, this is a UK made movie.

These are the military wives though, not the military. No idea if there’s a military husbands choir also, but the choir itself (which is a real thing) isn’t subject to the same rules.

Dougling yes a good answer I gave you a like. As much as the person/ people starting the choir can set their own entrance rules, a military choir with a greater range of voices allows more songs to be covered.
