Hope this hasn't been posted -- I went thru Six pages of "Movie" General discussion and didn't see it, so, here we go:

Sly on Kurt Russell & “The Expendables”

Here’s the latest from Sly:

I know that many people on the site have asked for Kurt Russell. I asked for him too. Actually, I was taken aback when asked to put the request in a letter and send it to his agent. Subsequently, I was called back by the agent several days later after refusing to send a letter and he said Kurt Russell is not interested in ‘ensemble acting’ at this time.

So, People, I came, I saw, I failed.

I've been tracking this movie, hoping they get more and more action stars in it. This could be fantastically hilarious. They need Chuck Norris.

I can't wait for this movie but with the size of the cast they are talking about, I guess we can forget about characters development on this one

unless it's a 6 hours movie?

The question once it's all said and done is, will this crew be more impressive than Dutch's group in Predator?!

Soooo, with that said, after the feelgood

movie that "RAMBO" was, it'll prob. be 2.5 hrs of non-stop action of some mercenaries on a mission in Guam or somewhere, with drug lords and gun-running, 80 metric tons of Nepalm, guns the size of Texas, enhanced Hummers w/mounted cannons & guns, a bigger body count than RAMBO (If that's even Possible!), blah blah blah...

And of course we'll All be 1st in line Opening Day.

wait a minute guys...if sly is reading our request...where do we post who we want? that would be great if sly put up a poll or a specific site for us to put our request in....he should know we want chuck norris badly. kurt russel was on my shortlist tho.

I've enjoyed Chuck Norris over the years as well... but the guy is what, 70? What exactly will he be doing? Not that Stallone is much younger, lol.

Ed Harris, Bruce Willis... Wesley Snipes maybe? And we need a woman... I'll go with Famke.
