Default What movies/TV shows have you been watching since COVID-19 quarantines started?

Thank god for my iTunes and blu-ray collection.

List of movies and shows I've watched since I got laid off almost a month ago:

Things that don't qualify: Regularly scheduled programming like Brooklyn 9-9 new episodes every Thursday or WWE

Contagion (4x it's that good IMO. Only thing different from that movie to real life is there is assumed to be a competent president runnnig the country, not an incompetent moron like we have in real life.)
Outbreak (Netflix)
Mortal Kombat
Mortal Kombat Annihilation
Uncut Gems (first time)
Death Wish (Charles Bronson)
Rise of Skywalker x3
Tears of the Sun
The Wanderers
28 Weeks Later
12 Angry Men
Armageddon
The Rock
Annihilation
The Exorcist
Snowpiercer
Good Boys (first time)
1917 (first time)
Black Hawk Down
Train to Busan
Dirty Dancing
Oh Brother Where Art Thou
Ip Man
The Thing (OG, not prequel)
Biutiful (Bardem)

House M.D. (started series over, currently on S2 E12)
Tiger King Mini Series (Netflix)
Game of Thrones (restarted the series again)

I've been dusting off unwatched DVDs in my collection, picking mostly classic foreign-language films (Il grido, Eternity and a Day, Bushido), few exceptions aside (Underwater, Invisible Man, Licence to Kill). It's been pretty damn great.

Mostly movies so far--I might switch things up and watch more TV episodes later, but I do have a dang big backlog of films to work through.

New Watches:
Battle Beyond the Stars
Doom: Annihilation (viewed after playing the game, of course)
Eastern Condors (yay, I finished the Sammo Hung 3-pack)
The Final Cut (was a DVD I found at an antique shop--totally worth $1)
Hell and High Water (the 1954 submarine film, not 2016's Hell OR High Water)
Horse Feathers
In the Aftermath (seems appropriate for this time actually)
Invictus
The King of Comedy
The Last Wave
Midway (2019, 4K)
Nekromantik (plus some short films from the Arrow Blu-Ray)
1917 (in 4K) followed by Westfront 1918, what a double-feature!
Onward
Police Story I and II
Project A Parts I and II
Return of the Sister Street Fighter
Schramm (plus some short films from the Arrow Blu-Ray)
The Sentinel (1977)
Sister Street Fighter: Fifth Level Fist (yay, I finished the Sister Street Fighter collection)
The Yakuza

Rewatches:
Big Trouble in Little China (with commentary)
Footloose (1984)
Hearts and Souls
Honey I Shrunk the Kids / Honey I Blew Up the Kid
Mad Max: Fury Road (in shiny and chrome 4K)
Mandy
Paycheck
Pearl Harbor (did not hold up well after all these years)
Star Wars Episodes I - IX (in glorious 4K plus a crap ton of extra features)
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (in 4K plus all its extras)
The Wrestler

TV:
Seven Worlds, One Planet

The virus for sure was a lot deadlier in the movie, since people were dying just in a few days.

But I do like how versus Outbreak, it's not hollywood cheese and more grounded into reality. The writer of hte movie did an interview recently with COVID stuff going on and talked about how he consulted real epidemiologists and scientists to make the movie more grounded.

Social distancing is a big key in that movie.
There is a false hope cure like forsythia, which has some anecdotal uses in the movie, but is awfully reminiscent of the hydroxycloroquine situation going on right now.
States are shutting down their borders to other states.
No vaccine in sight, and when they do get a vaccine it is distributed in the course of a year.
The head in charge of CDC in the movie gets taken off TV after an embarrassing personal scandal, whereas our President has muted the CDC and we haven't heard from them since March 9th.
The science and stuff in that movie is done very well.
Coincidentally, the disease in Contagion also happens to originate from a bat to an animal sold in a wet market.

But I don't want to veer this thread into a discussion on this. We've been discussing it in the contagion thread that got bumped up when this thing started.

I haven't watched any of these (yet?), but I just want to say it is some bullshit that the TV movies Rescue from Gilligan's Island and The Castaways on Gilligan's Island are both freely posted on YouTube, but The Harlem Globetrotters on Gilligan's Island ISN'T posted and available for easy viewing?? What is this? Why is this? What is the why and the how of this awful slap in my face, and why?

So no. I haven't watched a lot lately but I have been writing more letters to editors.

Oh wait nevermind. I was googling around while writing this post and it's on archive.org. Hell yes…

Also Tiger King and Abducted in Plain Sight, both also on Netflix.
