HARLEY QUINN: The Complete First Season DVD Gets Early June Release Date

With the second season now fully underway on the DC Universe streaming service, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has officially announced the release date for Harley Quinn: The Complete First Season on DVD!

Following an extremely well-received freshman outing, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has officially announced that Harley Quinn: The Complete First Season will arrive on DVD on June 2.

Unfortunately, the DVD set will be light on special features, but it will contain all thirteen episodes from the critically acclaimed first season in their gloriously uncensored entirety, so if you've been holding out on checking out the fan-favorite DC series, now is the perfect time.

The second season of the Kaley Cuoco-fronted series is currently streaming on the DC Universe, with new episodes debuting on a weekly basis. It is also expected to run for thirteen episodes.

WARNER BROS. HOME ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES

HARLEY QUINN: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON

ON DVD JUNE 2, 2020

Starring Kaley Cuoco as the Voice of Harley Quinn

BURBANK, CA (April 16, 2020) – Harley Quinn premiered on DC UNIVERSE this past November to rave reviews from critics and fans alike. Now, fans can enjoy the non-stop laughs and excitement of the adult animated action-comedy series as Warner Bros. Home Entertainment gets set to release Harley Quinn: The Complete First Season. Available on DVD June 2, 2020 for $24.98, the set features all 13 half-hour episodes.

Harley Quinn has finally broken things off once and for all with the Joker and attempts to make it on her own as the criminal Queenpin of Gotham City. With the help of Poison Ivy and a ragtag crew of DC castoffs, Harley tries to earn a seat at the biggest table in villainy - the Legion of the Doom. She’s got her eyes on the prize and nothing can stop her, except maybe Batman and Commissioner Gordon or her jealous, deranged ex. But don’t worry - she’s got this. Or does she? So strap in for this non-stop, demented thrill ride!

Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, and based on the characters from DC, Harley Quinn: The Complete First Season boasts an all-star voice cast including Kaley Cuoco (The Big Bang Theory) as Harley Quinn, Lake Bell (Bless This Mess), Jason Alexander (Seinfeld), Tony Hale (VEEP), J.B. Smoove (Curb Your Enthusiasm), Alan Tudyk (Doom Patrol), Ron Funches (Powerless), Wanda Sykes (Not Normal), Christopher Meloni (Law and Order: SVU), Diedrich Bader (American Housewife) and many others.

“Fans can’t get enough Harley Quinn and we are thrilled to release Harley Quinn: The Complete First Season for them to embark on the character’s latest crazy antics,” said Mary Ellen Thomas, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Senior Vice President, Originals, Animation and Family Marketing. “With adult humor and new animated action the release is timed to coincide with the series’ season two premiere.”

I’ve been waiting for a Blu of this so it sucks that there isn’t going to be one I guess. It seems like all the DC shows get one so I wonder why this one isn’t.

It might still get a Blu-ray release through Warner Archive. Those are often announced closer to the release date.

YES! This is what I’ve been hoping for! I’ve been wanting to watch this but of course, the DC streaming service isn’t available on ANY of my (non-phone, non-tablet) devices. I was so close to buying it digitally (because any clips I’ve seen from the show have been hilarious- it looks like a total blast), which I only use an absolute last resort, but I’ll definitely get the DVD... hopefully they’ll announce a Blu-ray.

No Blu-ray would be surprising. All of the other DC Universe series have received a Blu-ray release.

Warner Archive will probably handle the Blu-ray, we'll probably see it announced with their June releases.

That's disappointing news. Hopefully it gets at least a Blu-ray release. It's in 4K on DC Universe.

I actually started watching season 1 and I am really enjoying it. So now I'm more disappointed.

I just watched it on the Syfy Channel on Saturday since it was the 1st episode and haven’t watched it yet. Was surprised to see it uncensored. But then again I haven’t watched anything on there in years.

This is not 2002! I have nothing against a DVD release, but no BluRay release in 2020 is inexcusable! Both formats can co exist, but BluRay enthusiasts should not be ****ed over like this!
I love this show but refuse to buy the DVD!

They’re probably doing it that way to try and get more people to subscribe to the service, which I get. But if they were going to do that, it would be nice if it was available on all platforms lol.

@rexcrk: If that were the case why are Titans, Doom Patrol & Swamp Thing on BD?

I could see Blu Ray collecting both seasons while the DVD’s do individual ones.
