I hate the fact that they're always lining up DLC for after the main game as a means of maybe nickel and dimming customers. However i did feel i got value from my 1st playthrough of Spider-Man and i'm really looking forwards to a sequel. I am gonna buy the DLC for it now and hopefully finish NG+ too.

Was just revisiting the first one today and, though it looks great, I was thinking that I really can't wait to see how the second game looks on PS5. I think improved lighting will make a huge difference to how NYC looks.

Features I would like
-be able to swing around nyc holding a villain or civilian and being able to drop them from the sky -better interactions with the pedestrians -I was also bothered that spiderman could swing mailboxes and sewer lids around and it would never hit a person it should atleast knock them out in the next game -a honor system you choose if you want to be good or bad spidey - be able to walk around as peter parker in public |

The problem is too that the animations when saving people didn't consider how you rip a door off a car to save people and you're basically swinging it around like you do in a fight and throw it away to pedestrians. So that hopefully gets improved. I generally feel like because NYC has already been created. They just need to re-skin the city textures and other bits they could upgrade. They also hopefully can dump all the duplicate assets and to make new things with those space savings in activities to help prolong the idea of a "living" City Spiderman saves people in past the endgame as opposed to just a New Game +. |

I'm really curious as to what will happen with suits. I'm hoping those who have completed Spider-man PS4 will have all of the unlocked suits available to them at the start of the sequel or, and this is probably more likely, available from a couple of missions in. I want to have access to all of those suits but I don't want to have to unlock them again. In the sequel we should only be unlocking new suits for Peter and, I assume, Miles. |

I still feel that they didn't quite capture the exact style and look of NYC in the Spider-Man games made so far. It's just not capturing the visual accuracy of it for some reason, so it would be great if they take visual details to the next level with the PS5. Maybe photo realism is the only real way to capture the style of NYC.
Chances of a sequel are high, so this rumor has some merit I bet. Walking around as regular Peter Parker whenever you want would be cool. I want to feel the contrast of being Spidey versus being a regular person, and the fun of finding a place to change outfits quickly. If Rocksteady is working on a Superman game, I hope that's possible too. It's an integral part of the films and character. |

That said, i'm sure they'll knock it out the park again and it will be a flashy system seller. |

The pedestrians in Spider-Man PS4 were very generic and forgettable, compared to a game like GTAV, which had a lot of visual variety in them. Another game that needs to work on its pedestrians are the Watch Dogs games. They often look like they're in a trance and spaced out or something, though Watch Dogs 2 offered a ton of variety in their appearances, so that's a plus. Honestly i haven't seen them get webbed when i knock them off. Perhaps i need to stop a crime on top of a building next time and then go looking down that section to see it. I actually am ready for a New Game + too so maybe i'll have a look then.

To be completely honest, I dont want a Spiderman sequel right now. I feel like its still too soon for that. Same with God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn. I'd rather have either new IP or modern versions of older, long dormant franchises.

There's room for sequels of course, though I do enjoy new series and ideas as well. Insomniac has a major hit on their hands, so it's likely they'll just continue with a sequel, while developing a new IP title in the background most likely.

That said, Naughty Dog could finish The Last of Us Part 2 and be stuck on DLCs for it and then maybe after that go try their hand at reviving the series for modern times or perhaps nake an original IP. Spider-Man on the other hand is 2 years old and popular atm. Sony will want to make a sequel for release by 2021 i think as well as the others. They're system sellers and money makers after all. I don't think waiting more than 2-3 years is usually necessary either and Horizon is basically at 3 years, God of War at 2 years so i don't mind seeing sequels in the first few years of PS5. |
