Default What are you hoping comes out of CEDIA?

We in the custom home entertainment industry will be merging into Denver, CO the first week of September, to see all the new product offerings that will be appearing in stores during the Thaknksgiving/Christmas holidays and beyond.

What are your hopes and expectations, for products your considering?

HDMI 1.x Pre-Amps and Receivers with multiple inputs ?
HDMI 1.x Pre-Amps and Receivers with upscaling to 1080p capability?
HDMI 1.x Pre-Amps and Receivers with Consumer Electronic Control of
multiple devices?
HDMI 1.x Pre-Amps and Receivers with All the Audio Codec's ?
Displays, Projectors, and DVD Players compatable with the above ?

More Blu-Ray / HD-DVD combo units?

Again, what are you hoping to see come to market?

Jim

Nice generic answer. Care to share how that could be accomplished, in light of current events this week?

Jeeze lighten up.

Okay. how about this... some cheaper Blu-ray players. I think importance of the cost of players is massively exaggerated by the hd dvd supporters but it will be nice when I no longer have to listen to that myopic argument anymore.

I think new Blu-ray players at $149 to $199 would help tremendously.

Agreed. Cheaper machines.
I'd like a Blu-Ray player in the bedroom.

You pretty much covered it. A good HDMI 1.3 switching preamp.

The other thing I want, which I know will be at CEDIA: the new Kuro 1080p Pioneer plasma.

Last I checked, you could buy a refurbished BD-P1000 for $200 less some coupon discount, either 5 or 10%. I think the site was second act, and is surely mentioned here somewhere although this forum isn't where I saw it.

If we come away from CEDIA with WB still supporting Blu-ray in some form then I'll call that a victory of sorts.
