It would have been included had they not seemingly cancelled the collector's edition releases.

I wouldn't mind getting into these. How many have been made so far? I'd hate to start the collection and then realize I missed out on a rare steelbook.

Only 2 are out so far; Howl's Moving Castle and Ponyo. Both release tomorrow.

Whilst not bad, IMHO these would be much nicer without so much text on them. It kind of undermines the minimalist design for me. It does mean I can resist them and save a lot of money though!

I don’t mind one bit that Studio Ghibli or Hayao Miyazaki are printed on the cover. Probably one of the few film studios/creators I would say that about.
I received Howls/Ponyo today and they look fantastic.

I'm pleased you're happy with it. Like I say, I don't think these are bad, I think what it comes down to is the feeling where it's in any way a 'promotional' thing, rather than a collector's edition. It's premium packaging where the design is why you are choosing to pay more. I'll agree in as much as if I was losing any of the text, the mention of the academy awards would go first. Studio Ghibli / A Film by Hayao Miyazaki would be an improvement without mentioning random award that feels like a marketing bit... you know? Maybe it is just me, never mind.

Price down to $21.49 right now, Obviously if you've already ordered you are already adjusted just posting for anyone who held out. Now lets just get kiki's down to that $20 price, won't be surprised if nausicaa goes down to 20 as well just based on ponyo and howls being $20.

I have to pre-order this. The first two look amazing in person and I recommend them for any fan of this films. Simple but a nice look for these films.

I think it would make more sense if the HM and SG text was in opposite spots.

Other than that, I just don't like how the stock images don't reflect the actual product.

I wish the actual colors were more pastel like the stock images instead of metallic. I think I’m in the minority on that, though.

I watched this today. It's an absolute classic of course and I was interested in comparing it to the previous Disney blu-ray release which I own.

I noticed something a bit odd, however. Generally when I watch a 2.0 track with the same receiver settings, it simply plays out of my main right and left channels. Either 2.0 track on this, however, would play only out of my center channel. Has anyone else experienced this?

The only compliment I can pay steelbooks at this point is the fact that when it comes time to upgrade to a new format, you can sell steelbooks for more than the average release. Steelbooks are a smart investment.
