Confirmed to be coming soon from Blue Underground by Bill Lustig on the Shock Waves podcast. The restoration is already complete and was set to debut at Fantasia before Covid shut everything down.

Oh, Lustig also noted that director Harry Kümmel personally oversaw the color grading for this restoration.

Like Final Countdown, I have never seen this either.

I love movies like Vampire Lovers though, so if this is anything like that, I'm in.

So excited when i heard this on the shockwaves podcast. Bill Lustig's enthusiasm for the new transfer just made me giddy. It's one of my favorite vampire movies, Delphine Seyrig is absolutely iconic in it.

Is the 4K disc confirmed or is the 4K restoration confirmed and no comment on the disc that’s being released?

He confirmed an Ultra HD Blu-ray release on episode 190 of the Shock Waves podcast, around 1:09:44. Atmos too! He also corrects himself around 1:13:00 when he talks about VOD in advance of the Blu-ray release, clarifying that he means 4K disc.

Once they catch up with their current 4K-mastered Blu-ray titles, Blue Underground is going to start releasing UHD/BD combos, and this is going to be one of the early titles.

Beautiful! I wanted to double check! This will be a day 1! And the one I kept whining about wanting in the threads for the other Blue Underground 4K’s!

They should have used the Poster Art for the cover. Maybe they will change it ? I hope. Day 1 for me ! In 4K UHD ! I am surprised. But Happy !
