Default Best Movie Review Sites?

Personally, I've been using Rotten Tomatoes to gauge the buzz for new releases, and to get a general idea of the quality of recent past films. However, it's not a perfect tool; there's a hefty share of bias when delegating numerical ratings to films made before 1980. Most films rated an average of 9 and above are from 40s and 50s, or are foreign; I get an elitist vibe from most of the reviews for these films that is off putting. Still, for getting a general idea of the reaction - positive or negative - for recent films it is good.

What are some other more balanced review sites I can check out?

I'll read roger ebert's reviews on anything because even if I disagree he explains himself well and has a damn high film IQ.

I look at the gage then judge myself. Only you can ultimately decide what you like.
