same here mate,got the crappy normal case version last week,managed to get the steelbook from movietyme,although the movie isnt the greatest the steelbook is one of my faves.

There is no photo and the title does not have "steelbook" in it, but the link comes up when you search for steelbook. Also, the price is about the same as other steelbooks that are offered.

A steelbook of that movie does exist but it is OOP. That listing is now probably for the standard blu-ray version.

Confirmed. Amazon is no longer shipping the Steelbook. If you order now, you WILL receive an Amaray.

Only the SteelBook has been produced and released for the French version of Chambre 1408. You can order it safely.

Ordered a copy from Movietyme last week (they were the cheapest I was finding it) -- as of right now it's still just showing "order taken", so I'm assuming they're trying to track down a copy for me.

Here's hoping, because I really liked the price, and I really like this steel. Yet another example of me wishing I had got into the game a bit earlier than I did.

i want a german one but its not a steelie anymore so i guess ill get a french one but if anyone knows a site that i can get a german 1408 Steelbook,

Sorry about that guys. I should have been clearer. I was actually just referring back to the thread in general and talking about the German steel. Sorry about the confusion. It wasn't in response to the French inquiry.

Movietyme has the German steel in their inventory. That's the one I'm trying to order from them, but it looks as though they're having to try and track it down.
