When an intergalactic transport ship crashes on a remote desert planet with no sign of help on the horizon, the survivors, led by Fry (Radha Mitchell), band together to find a way back home. Among the passengers is Riddick (Vin Diesel), a convicted murderer being transported by marshal Johns (Cole Hauser) – and now freed of his chains and on the loose. But as a solar eclipse plunges the planet into total darkness, a threat even worse than Riddick reveals itself, and the last humans standing may have to form an uneasy truce with the cunning fugitive (whose eyes have been surgically altered to see in the dark) to last the long night.

will wait to see how this compares to existing disc. love the movie but a slight uptick won't be enough to rebuy. a couple of nice special features though makes it more tempting
Hopefully Chronicles of Riddick could be next? Riddick 2014 doesn't really need an Arrow upgrade, too new and pristine to merit it.
I hope so. There was an entire bonus disc for Chronicles of Riddick that was only sold at BestBuy, with a ton of production diaries. None of that footage has been seen since.
Looks like a nice release. I'll pre-order it if it's a reasonable price. I would've preferred if Arrow released the complete trilogy in a nice boxset though (similar to how they released the House series in a nice study box with a beautiful accompanying book).
I loved this film when it came out. I think it's much better than any of it's sequels. The Riddick character worked well here as a cryptic antagonist rather than the protagonist. He was strong, but not superhuman. In Chronicles of Riddick they turned him into some kind of superhero - took all the fun out of it. And Riddick was just a remake of this, so why bother.
